LIPIDIQUE was not born on a marketing agency drawing board. It began with a personal problem millions share yet rarely speak about openly: skin that simply never settles down.
For years I struggled with stubborn flakes, redness, and constant tightness on my face, in the beard area, and behind the ears. I went through the classic odyssey: medicated shampoos, dermatological creams, endless product switches. Some things brought brief relief, but the frustrating pattern always returned: just as hope appeared, the next flare of redness and flaking followed.

The classic approach to unsettled skin usually leads to a dead end: more steps, more specialised formulas, more complex routines. Yet every new product adds new ingredients — and potential irritants — to an already weakened skin barrier.
Some skin does not benefit from more, but needs the exact opposite: radical relief. Fewer actives competing with each other, and more room for skin to regenerate on its own. This insight is the core of LIPIDIQUE — and why our formula deliberately uses only two ingredients.
The science behind reduction
An unsettled complexion, chronic flaking, and seborrheic skin areas are biologically complex. Modern microbiome research shows, however, that a specific microorganism in our natural skin flora — Malassezia — plays a central role for those affected.
Scientific background
When skin flora falls out of balance, the barrier responds with inflammation. The problem with conventional plant oils (such as olive or jojoba) is their chemical structure: they consist of long-chain fatty acids that feed these microorganisms and repeatedly fuel the irritation cycle. Medium-chain triglycerides (C8/C10), by contrast, consist exclusively of caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10). Research (including Ran et al., Dawson) shows these specific fatty acids cannot be utilised by the microbiome — skin receives care without feeding the irritant factors. Because the molecular structure of C8/C10 closely resembles the skin's own lipids, the barrier accepts it optimally. That makes it an ideal base for an intensive short or overnight treatment that gently loosens flakes and is simply dabbed off or washed out after the application time.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Highly pure medium-chain lipids as an irritation-free base — lightweight, non-comedogenic (does not clog pores), and barrier-friendly. Tocopherol (Vitamin E): A potent antioxidant that protects skin from oxidative stress and naturally stabilises the oil.
No fragrances. No preservatives. No fillers or essential oils. We leave out everything that could burden your skin, reducing the risk of intolerance to an absolute minimum.

No. LIPIDIQUE is a minimalist dermocosmetic care product. It supports daily or weekly barrier care and relief for stressed skin areas, but does not replace seeing a dermatologist for acute medical conditions.
What skin concerns is LIPIDIQUE suited for?
It was developed specifically for areas prone to chronic flaking, stubborn redness, seborrheic symptoms (on the face, at the hairline, behind the ears, or in the beard area), and extreme overreactions.
Why does the product have only two ingredients?
Because every additional ingredient — whether fragrance, emulsifier, or preservative — is a potential trigger for an already inflamed skin barrier. By reducing to C8/C10 and vitamin E, we eliminate irritant sources almost entirely.
Can I combine LIPIDIQUE with other products?
Yes. As a pure lipid treatment, it works excellently after cleansing — dab off any excess after the application time before applying your usual low-irritant baseline moisturiser.
When will I see results?
While mechanical relief (softening and gently loosening flake layers) is often visible after the first application (e.g. overnight on the scalp), stabilising the skin barrier usually requires a few weeks of patience and consistency.
